How We Began

Start something and become fishers of men

Calvery International, Inc. dba Hands That Heal Us, A California Public Charitable Corporation, has been organized by a group who are members of the Chula Vista Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Chula Vista, CA. In June 2005, a group of Seventh-Day Adventist pastors from India were visiting Chula Vista. While explaining the challenges faced by the Church and its members, they challenged us to come and minister to the needs of the people in India and other parts of the world. After much prayer and consultation, a group was formed to meet this challenge. This group has evolved into Calvery International.

Calvery International, by the grace of God, has since built churches and held medical missions and Evangelistic Series in several regions of the Philippines, India, and Mexico.

We believe that there is tremendous suffering in the world today and it is our sacred duty to bring hope, healing and peace to people as Jesus commanded us. As practical Christians, we are to experience this great Old Testament passage in Isaiah Chapter 58 : 6-9.

” Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, And not hide yourself from your own flesh? Then your light shall break forth like the morning, Your healing shall spring forth speedily, And your righteousness shall go before you; The glory of the LORD shall be your rear guard.Then you shall call, and the LORD will answer; You shall cry, and He will say, ‘Here I am.’ "

Our Mission

Our mission is to glorify the name of the Lord Jesus Christ by following His command to go teach all nations. We endeavor to minister to the needs of people all over the world by providing spiritual hope, physical wellness, education and welfare. Our desire is to reach the unreached and to uplift the downtrodden and inspire them to experience the Power and Grace offered by Christ our Lord.
